Cairns Speedway

Welcome to Cairns Speedway. Situated at Arthur Strike Park in Edmonton, Queensland, a few minutes south of the tourist mecca of Cairns, our Speedway operates during what is known here as the Dry Season - May to November. From then on, the Wet Season takes over and that's the time we have for preparing the complex for the next season.

Our main events through each season are the four nights of Northern Nationals, a week of Modified Sedans that has become major attraction - and then the big one, Thunder in the Canefields, our major meeting for 360/LS Sprintcars. Also run over four nights, Thunder attracts drivers from as far away as Western Australia and Victoria, all looking to take home the cane-knife trophies.
